Sebastián Rosales Morandé

Berlin

Sebastián Rosales is a Chilean jazz drummer with a rich background in both performance and education. He studied at the Projazz School in Santiago and trained under Ricardo Ruiz, further refining his craft with renowned drummers such as Félix Lecaros (Chile) and Mathias Ruppnig (Germany), the drummer for Kurt Rosenwinkel in Berlin.

As a jazz artist, he played in the trio album from Rodrigo Álvarez (Chile) alongside Agustín Waldheim on Piano (Argentina), played and recorded with the Fusion band Eleven Onzelf and this year, he collaborated with trumpeter Amadeo Bonaiuto (Argentina) recording the Album Shamonka featuring Hugo Fernández (México) on guitar and Sergio Gómez (Colombia) on double bass.
Beyond performance, he is a dedicated educator, currently teaching at The Planet Drum. He also performs regularly with Natia Todua, the winner of The Voice Germany, bringing his dynamic and expressive drumming to diverse musical projects.

César Vidal

Amsterdam

César Vidal is a Chilean saxophonist and composer based in Amsterdam. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in classical composition from Chile and later earned a Master’s in jazz saxophone from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, studying under renowned musicians such as Ben van Gelder, Simon Rigter, and Tineke Postma. Known for his expressive sound and deep musicality, he has collaborated with some of the most influential Chilean musicians across generations, including Nicolás Vera, Félix Lecaros, Joaquín Fuentes, Alfredo Tauber, and Juan Pablo Salvo.

His latest recordings include Flor de Loto with pianist Joaquín Fuentes and his album NUBES with renowned guitarist Nicolás Vera—the first Chilean jazz album released in Chile in 2025. He recently recorded an EP for his project Des Visages with Chilean improviser and composer Jorge Care in Geneva, Switzerland, for saxophone and electronics. In addition, César leads César Vidal & Artikulation Band, where he blends a traditional jazz quartet (saxophone, piano, double bass, and drums) with electronics, also handled by Jorge Care. His work explores the intersection of acoustic and electronic sound, pushing the boundaries of jazz and improvisation.

Felipe Aravena

Barcelona

Felipe Aravena is a guitarist, composer, and performer from Chiloé, in the Chilean Patagonia. He trained in Santiago de Chile, studying jazz and guitar with renowned teachers and recording with artists such as Alfredo Tauber, Ania Ivania, and Camilo Aliaga. He also led his own projects, including Bizarra and Caras Largas.
Later, he moved to Barcelona to pursue a Master’s in Jazz and Modern Music Performance at the Conservatori Liceu, where he founded his main project, Gruvarna. With this band, he has performed at venues such as La Mercè, Talent Jazz La Pedrera, and the Balaguer Jazz Festival. In 2024, Gruvarna released its debut album.
Felipe was also selected to perform at the prestigious M JAZZ Festival, sharing the stage with artists like Chano Domínguez and David Pastor, solidifying his place in the international jazz scene.
